Michal Fojtík

Michal Fojtík

Founder and Executive Officer of Future Farming

In 2010, while visiting California, he encountered aquaponics for the first time. He was so enthusiastic about the farms that allow combined fish breeding and plant cultivation without soil that he decided to develop an awareness of aquaponics in the Czech Republic. In 2016, he founded the Aquaponic Farms Association and started working full-time in aquaponics. Gradually, he added hydroponics and RAS to aquaponics. He focuses mainly on research activities, developing cooperation with experts in modern agriculture, and raising awareness of sustainable food production.

Martin Podoba

Martin Podoba

Founder and Executive Officer of Future Farming

He started his professional career in several companies focusing on trade and international finance. Since 2016, he has been working in managerial and leadership roles. In 2018, together with Ondřej Bartoš, he founded the GFF Investment Group, which today manages assets worth more than EUR 54.9 million and operates in 12 countries worldwide. In January 2020, Martin Podoba was appointed an Executive Officer of Future Farming to oversee one of GFF’s key investments personally. At Future Farming, Martin Podoba is responsible for dealing with key investors and suppliers, all business models and business synergies, and is also a champion of ethical principles. 

The beginning of aquaponics in the Czech Republic

In 2010, Michal Fojtík had a great idea motivated by a simple human need, to provide high-quality food for his family. And this is how the journey of modern agriculture in our country began.
